Wanting to challenge myself, I decided to embark on a new career. I've been an avid reader my whole life, and I thought this would be a natural fit. I completed a course with Transcript Proofreading: Theory and Practice, given by Caitlin Pyle. The course is taught using Morson's Guide for Court Reporters. I also have Court Reporting: Bad Grammar/Good Punctuation by Margie Wakeman Wells and The Gregg Reference Manual on hand. I also use the online edition of Merriam-Webster Unabridged so I can make sure transcripts are complete. I am proficient at proofreading depositions, court proceedings, examinations under oath, and hearings, including vocabulary dealing with medical and construction terms.
I look forward to helping you be exceptional!
